Culinary schools in Italy

4 researched schools and 9 verified programs. This is the research done to date, not a complete list of every provider in Italy.

Results are listed alphabetically. There is no price ranking because tuition in different currencies, periods and bases is not comparable. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change recognition status, verification or order.

About culinary education in Italy

How culinary education is structured

Professional cookery training in Italy is delivered mainly by private culinary schools and regionally accredited training bodies alongside state hotel-school (istituti alberghieri) routes. Some schools state that regional professional qualifications are issued on request to the public administration and are linked to an EQF level, while the school diploma itself is a provider-issued award.

Qualification structures

Names and levels are local to Italy. Similar names in other countries are not interchangeable.

Regional professional qualification (e.g. Tecnico della produzione pasti)
ALMA states that its Corso Superiore leads to a regional Certificato di Qualifica Professionale relating to 320 classroom hours plus 180 hours of stage, and that each regional qualification is linked to an EQF level (level not stated on the page). Source
School-issued diplomas and master programmes
Schools such as ICIF and Congusto issue their own diplomas or master titles after short or one-year professional courses; these are provider awards, not academic degrees. Source
